I just completed a really fun shoot for the folks at Vaughn Construction of their work on a new academic building at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Medical School. The building is architecturally appealing and beautifully decorated.
Andy, our contact at Vaughn, was fantastic and acted as our guide through this huge structure. He saved us so much time by showing us all the things the contractor was interested in and thanks to his input we were able to create a lot more images for Vaughn than we might have on our own.
Every shoot presents unique challenges. People and vehicles can present obstacles when photographing schools and other public spaces, but with the University’s summer schedule there were very few people around so crowd control was not an issue.
However, the client specifically asked that all the images be horizontally oriented in 6×4 format to work for their marketing materials. At first I was a little concerned because I had seen some preview images of the space and it looked like some verticals would be needed. Once I got on the site I could see that the horizontal format would work out just fine.
